Katharine Blazer in Ivory Tweed

I dithered between the ivory Katharine and navy and went with ivory this round. It’s a beautiful piece I’m so happy to have in my wardrobe. I also wrung my hands between the 4 and 6 and decided I’d be happier with the 6. That was the right call. My shoulders are a smidge on the wider side (15.5”) so despite a 32B bra, I bumped up. I’m glad. I love the versatility of this blazer, that it looks brings polish to jeans and even a low-key formality to pants and skirts. It’s a well-behaved staple that makes you proud. I’ve been eyeing the Katharine blazer and bought it to celebrate a career milestone. I picked a 10 because I wanted it to be oversized. An 8 could have worked but I like the fit of the 10. The ivory goes with everything and I’ve been having fun styling.

I have worn this twice with skinny black pants and black velvet top or red top for holiday party. Looks very sharp! I can't wait to wear it again. I have an 8, I confess I cannot button it comfortably but I like how the 8 fits in the arms and shoulders so I’m styling it open for now. I carry a lot of my weight in my stomach for reference. I have pieces from Classic Six that range from a six to a ten and my weight fluctuates 10 lbs up and down annually.

You are amazing! Ordered on December 26th, it shipped on the 27th, and I was gleefully opening the box today. The white tweed is gorgeous, and it fits beautifully. The sizing recommendations are so helpful. As with everything Classic Six, the quality is incomparable -- I can't wait to wear it out!

I am in love. I bought this on a Sunday, got it the following Tuesday, took it on a business trip Wednesday where I wore it every. single. day (& night!) for 6 days straight. I couldn’t believe how easy it is to maintain! No wrinkles and when I had rubbed against something and it got a little dirty, I was able to spot clean it in the hotel sink(!) and it was good as new. The fabric does not stretch so if you want to layer chunky sweaters under it you may want to consider going up a size (or if you are between sizes, go up). I got a size 4 and am 127lbs 5’5” with 34B and very few curves. To layer, I can fit a button down under it easily or a thin fitted cashmere sweater but anything slightly thicker (like the Classic Six linen sweater) would be to tight for me in the upper arms and across my shoulders, especially if I were to go in for a good hug. (I wear a size 4 in the navy Katherine blazer too - and that one has stretch so I can fit a slightly thicker sweater under it). It’s such a gorgeous piece that goes with EVERYTHING (leggings, jeans, dresses, skirts… it’s a one-and-done for travel, too!) Hope this helps!
