The Signature Sex Appeal of Brigitte Bardot

There are few names that are more synonymous with elegance and sex appeal than Brigitte Bardot. Come to think of it, no other names even come close as she truly was in a league of her own when it came to style and beauty. For any Gen Z babes out there reading this, Bardot was a major fashion icon in the 1950s and 1960s. Her personal signature included an effortlessly chic and natural style that we still attempt to replicate today.  Brigitte became famous for her tousled blonde hair, cat-eye makeup, and figure-hugging clothes that showcased her incredible hourglass figure. Her influence in the fashion world 60 years ago is a testament to her core fashion belief that still rings true today: A little goes a long way.

Brigitte helped to pave the way in the fashion world by pushing the envelope bit by bit. Back those days bikinis were seen as on the risqué side. After she was photographed in a two-piece on a beach, it became more socially acceptable for women to ditch the one-piece and reach for the bikini. Men collectively rejoiced, of course. She was also known for ballet flats, Capri pants and wearing oversized sunglasses - all made popular during that era by Brigitte and the element of sophistication she added to each item.

Our Brigitte sweater pays homage to the infamous Bardot neckline. It is of the most iconic looks associated with the actress and her essence, which is characterized by a wide, off-the-shoulder neckline that shows off the collarbones and shoulders. Wear alone or over a tee and you have effortless. As Brigitte would approve.

Be a Pro like Bardot and wear the sweater backwards to show off some unexpected skin with the deep V neck framing your back.
