What was the catalyst in starting the brand?
Artemis Vintage grew from a passion for denim and the belief that great jeans should feel timeless while still reflecting the way women dress today. We wanted to create denim that combines classic character with modern fits, washes, and details—and build a company that could work closely with retailers to bring those ideas to life.

Was there a design/fashion muse you can tell us about?
Rather than having one specific muse, we’re inspired by women who have their own sense of style. We love seeing how classic denim can be styled in completely different ways—from casual and effortless to polished and fashion-forward. That idea of timeless pieces being interpreted in a modern way is a big part of Artemis Vintage.

What is the dream for the brand in the next 5 years?
Our dream is to continue growing Artemis Vintage while staying true to what makes us special: strong denim, thoughtful design, reliable production, and close relationships with our customers. We want to continue developing new fits and washes, work with great retail partners, and build Artemis into a denim brand that people recognize for quality, consistency, and timeless style.

QUESTIONS ABOUT YOU
Do you have a favorite collection or piece to date?
It’s difficult to choose just one because our favorite pieces are often the ones where we see the whole process come together—the fit, fabric, wash, details, and final garment. I especially enjoy seeing a new denim silhouette go from an idea and sample into a finished piece that a customer actually loves.

What’s your favorite thing in your closet right now?
A great pair of jeans. Denim is one of those pieces that gets better the more you wear it, and I like pieces that can work with almost anything.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Keep your promises and take care of the people you work with. In this business, relationships matter just as much as the product.

Is there one unforgettable defining time in your career that changed you?
Working through the entire process of developing and producing garments has taught me that the small details matter. A successful product isn't just about having a good design—it takes communication, patience, quality control, and a strong team behind it. That has shaped the way I approach every project today.

Who is your style icon?
I’m drawn to people who make classic pieces look effortless rather than following every trend. For me, personal style is more inspiring than any one celebrity.

If you could be from any other decade (or era), which would it be?
The 1970s. There was such a strong denim culture during that era, and I love the combination of individuality, relaxed silhouettes, and timeless Americana.

If you could have any three classic icons over for dinner – who would they be?
Steve McQueen, James Dean, and Audrey Hepburn. They each had a very different style, but all three made simplicity incredibly memorable.

Best gift you’ve ever received?
The gift of having people around me who believe in me and support what I’m building. That means more than any material gift.

What does the word “Classic” mean to you?
Something that doesn't need to chase trends to remain relevant. A classic piece has character, lasts over time, and can be worn in many different ways. That's also how I think about denim.

If you had to pick one Classic Six piece, what would it be?
The Farrah Denim Shirt in Indigo. I’m naturally drawn to denim, and I love pieces that feel timeless but can still be styled in a modern way. It’s the kind of classic piece that only gets better with time.
