MARILYN ACCORDION-PLEATED SKIRT IN DENIM
Our new Marilyn accordion-pleated skirt in denim has all of the same beautiful elements as our original army green Marilyn skirt: Season-less, sunburst accordion-pleated midi skirt in a soft denim-blend with grosgrain waistband.
PLEAT COUNT
Not every accordion-pleat is created equal. Our Marilyn skirt is a sunburst pattern made with a more than usual number of pleats, intended to create an exceptional amount of movement when you walk. Because the pleats are more narrow at the waistband and become deeper towards the hem, there is a slimming effect near the waist, while fullness at the bottom creates the illusion of slimmer ankles.
INSIDE DETAILS
It is important to us that every Classic Six piece is as beautiful on the inside as the outside. All seams are finished in contrasting piping, and are so carefully done, you can even wear inside out!
A DIFFERENT KIND OF DENIM
The denim of this skirt is much softer than a sturdy denim we would use for a jean. We wanted that textured denim-look without the hard denim feel; something pliable and smooth; something that doesn't wrinkle; one where the pleats don't fall out, and most importantly one that is machine-washable (in cold water and a gentle cycle, of course. ;))
ENDLESS STYLING
