Where and when was the brand founded?
INEZ was founded in New York City. Our first full collection launched in 2017.
What was the catalyst in starting the brand?
The idea for Inez came from my own frustration with beautiful but uncomfortable heels. After years working in luxury footwear in Italy and Spain—deeply immersed in real craftsmanship—I saw how rarely comfort was treated as a true design discipline. I knew there was room for a different kind of brand: one that married style with genuine wearability. Inez lives at the intersection of what I’ve lived, what I’ve learned, and what I wanted to change.
Was there a design/fashion muse you can tell us about?
At Inez, she has always been a woman who moves through her day with intention, curious, cultured, and confident, guided by taste over fashion. Real life is the muse.
What is the dream for the brand in the next 5 years?
To keep building a trusted, enduring brand that transforms the experience of wearing heels. I’m energized by the simple fact that we’re doing exactly what we set out to do.
QUESTIONS ABOUT YOU

Do you have a favorite collection or piece to date? I’m truly in love with the Spring '26 collection. It brings together artisanal techniques and hardware details I’ve been wanting to introduce for a long time, in a way that finally feels right.
What’s your favorite thing in your closet right now?
It’s freezing, so I have two or three favorite cashmere sweaters on rotation
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
When in doubt, sleep on it.
Is there one unforgettable defining time in your career that changed you?
Working side by side with craftsmen taught me how much precision and artistry exist in the smallest details. It changed how I work and what I value.
Who is your style icon?
Women whose style feels instinctive rather than styled—lived-in, confident, and slightly undone. Jane Birkin, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, Melanie Ward.
If you could be from any other decade (or era), which would it be?
The 1970s
Who would play you in the movie of your life?
Idk…someone understated, perceptive, and a little wry? More about nuance than drama.
Best gift you’ve ever received?
Time. Whether it’s space to think, to travel, or to be with people I love, it’s always the most meaningful gift. Vintage jewelry comes in a close second.
