Classic Six is looking for an Operations manager rooted in entrepreneurial spirit to support scaling the brand. This candidate will be directly responsible for overseeing the day to day operation and will take an active lead on maintaining structure, process and systems to scale the e-commerce organization. The role will touch upon all aspects of operating, inclusive of but not limited to customer service, logistics, fulfillment, procurement, manufacturing and quality management. The operations manager is critical in upholding our quality standards and delighting our customers.

The position will start at 20 hours/week and evolve within the first 6 months to a 40 hour/week full-time position.

Initial 3-6 months part-time position to include:

Logistics & Fulfillment

  • Manage 3PL, ensuring contractual SLAs are met including on-time shipping and order accuracy
  • Create and communicate SOPs to our 3PLs to ensure all fulfillment, inventory and routing requirements are being met
  • Work closely with cross teams to maintain accurate inventory visibility within warehouse system and e-commerce platform
  • Improve the efficiency of the order fulfillment process across all product lines with scalable solutions
  • Provide quantitative reports on fulfillment metrics and identify areas of improvement and implement solutions
  • Continuously improve cost, speed, and accuracy performance of our distribution network
  • Facilitate quarterly reviews with fulfillment provider to ensure business needs are being met and new initiatives are supported

 

Inventory Management

  • Ensure inventory is accurate across organization. Develop policies and procedures to ensure we are properly recording, adjusting and reconciling inventory within our 3PL and inventory systems
  • Oversee cycle count procedures and accuracy
  • Reconcile inventory between systems on a cost and unit basis

 

Customer service

  • Answer customers’ questions, resolve problems, and maintain customer satisfaction by providing problem-solving resources
  • Improves customer service quality results by conducting surveys and studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes and establishing and communicating service metrics and monitoring and analyzing results
  • Implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
  • Contributes customer service information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  • Audits customer service procedures and trends and determines system improvements
  • Determines customer service requirements, company policies and procedures in partnership with founder.

 

Full-time position to include:

Procurement & Production

  • Partner with founder, technical design, sourcing agents and factories to ensure the integrity of product from sketch to bulk production.
  • Create and maintain item database, managing all costs, attributes, UPCs, etc in all systems
  • Manage purchasing in partnership with the head of planning
  • Oversee PO creation and production management, ensuring we deliver quality products on-time, to our quality specifications and within budget
  • Oversee approval process and timelines, ensuring we receive and approve samples, lab dips, etc on-time

 

Quality Management:

  • Manufacturing
  • Manage quality standards
  • Assist technicians for checking patterns/specifications and construction
  • Supervise in handling of sample evaluation and production approval
  • Monitor and evaluate QC reports, ensuring we are meeting specifications and requirements in bulk production runs
  • Partner with our technician, factories and third party inspection agents to work through requirements and issues in production
  • Returns Management/Refurbishment at Warehouse
  • Oversee process, people and accuracy of return management and refurbishment at warehouse

 

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years in operations
  • Analytical, system minded and process driven
  • Organized and methodological
  • Consumer goods experience at scaling start up
  • Passionate about growing a business. Never a task too small or a problem that goes unsolved
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Apparel experience is preferred but not required

 

Hours:

Monday to Friday
Part-time (Flexible 4 hour day) to Full-time (Flexible 8 hour day)

Location:

Tri-state area preferred but not required.

Hybrid:
80% Remote + 20% at warehouse (Brooklyn, NY)
